ZyXEL G-4100 v2 is an all in one hotspot gateway that provides secure Internet access by free or changed based policy as the business owner wants. It provides authentication and accounting functions for both wireless and wired clients and supports up to 100 concurrent users. G-4100 v2 works with SP-200E statement printer; businesses need only to click the button on the SP-200E and it automatically generates and prints the account, password and pre-configured time for Internet access hours. All functions required for hotspot service are all in the G-4100 v2.

G-4100 v2 has an embedded and very easy to configure authentication server. Hotspot business owners, such as coffee shops, book stores, hotels or resorts, do not need any other hardware or software for to provide hotspot service. G-4100 v2 also support RADIUS server for large scale hotspot service deployment for chain-stores and airport terminals to provide roaming capability from one store to another through centralized authentication and accounting.

To provide the best hotspot user experience, the G-4100 v2 features rich networking functions including IP PnP function, DHCP server, NAT, MAC address filtering, IP address filtering, etc. The IP PnP technology enables the ultimate user experience for "No configuration needed at all." It transparently takes care of the IP networking before the user knows it, dramatically improving user satisfaction and reduced technical support effort. The user no longer needs to change the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, web proxy and SMTP server. V-LAN security for wired and wireless clients, NAT, layer 2 isolation and MAC IP address filtering technology work behind the scenes to ensure each user's privacy is protected, preventing personal sensitive data from being exposed.

With the G-4100 v2, businesses can customize the log-in page and redirect to provide limited Internet access to the owner's home page. Additionally, powerful management functions including SSL log-in page, secure remote function and LAN and WLAN device management are designed for a hotspot gateway. For easy deployment, both the G-4100 v2 and the SP-200E printer support PoE (Power over Ethernet).
