Surface mount the phone at an outside entry or public access, and IP66-rated enhanced weather protection will shield the phone from wind, rain, dust and snow. The phone's circuitry and connectors are sealed and protected from ingress. Mount the phone to a junction box, single gang box, wall or flat surface. Smooth surfaces are preferred, with extra material possibly required for uneven or rough surfaces. A number of third-party SIP phone systems are compatible with the Viking E-20-IP-EWP phone. Program the phone from a touch tone phone or PC on the network. The phone can store up to five programmable numbers, offers remote volume adjustment and more.
